New bin changes are being brought in to make it easier for residents to reduce waste and recycle more. They include bringing in weekly food waste collections and replacing black sack collections with wheeled bins.

Save the Children is an International Charity working to improve the lives of children, we have extensive programmes in the UK. Our Families Connect Program offers 8 week courses for parents and their 3-6 year olds in deprived areas, focusing on social and emotional development as well as literacy, language and numeracy skills. Results have shown a significant improvement in confidence and skills and much improved levels of communication and enhanced learning at home .

Save the Children is probably best known for the overseas programmes, currently we are of course focusing on famine stricken East Africa as well as the millions of refugees from war stricken Gaza, Ukraine and South Sudan and more. Offers of help with fundraising will be very welcome.

Waggys is a dog boarding and daycare kennels with a difference; that we socialise our dogs together.

Rather than keeping dogs isolated from one another during their time with us , we safely mix them in one of our enriching play areas, which includes an area just for small dogs and puppies, and an area just for shy, old and quiet dogs. And to put you at further ease, you can see daily photos and videos of your dog on our Facebook and Instagram 'Pupdates' accounts.

In addition to boarding, we also have a daycare centre and grooming parlour on site too.

So, whether your dog is staying for just the day or a week, we are able to ensure they stay active, learn social skills and get a new haircut.

We would like a stall for community engagement, sharing information with local people about Wicken Fen Nature Reserve and our exciting peat restoration project. We will also be offering a free creative activity suitable for all ages as part of our Arts Council England project: Listen to the Voices of the Fen. More details to follow!
